Northern New Hampshire Bird Dog Clubs Annual Spring Field Trial; April 27 & 28, 2024

Heading up to the trial grounds Sat. morning, 4/27/24, I had a Traffic Jam in my driveway! 2 Moose, a mother and young one were strolling in front of me!

My puppy, Long Gone Pickles in in her first field trial Sat. morning 4/27/24, in the open puppy stake and she got second. She did a nice job in hunting. The third place dog is by one of our champions, CH. Long Gone Wallace

Sunday, 4/28/24. I entered Pickles in the open derby qualifier, even though she is not a derby until next year. She had 2 broke ( steady to wing and shot ) finds, a stop to flush and a back on command. Here she is on her second find ( Thank you Ruthie Murray for shooting this picture ). She won the stake.

Long Gone Pickles( she by Long Gone DeQuan out of a 2x CH Long Gone Porky ex RU Grouse CH Long Gone Juicy female ) winning first in the Open Derby at The Northern NH Trials on May 28, 2024. Pickles is now qualified to run in open and amateur championships for life. We were very happy with her performance.

We ran our shooting dog in the always competitive, “Phillips Brook Amateur Walking Shooting Dog Classic”. Long Gone DeQuan won the stake for the second year in a row and 3 out of the last 4. Thank you to Professional Adam Dubriske and Steve “Hank” Sumple for walking many miles in less then perfect weather in judging this classic for our club.
