Tony with a woodcock he had just shot over Long Gone Juniper. Flight birds are getting thin now as we feel the bulk of them have gone through. June had a good hunt in this cover only pointed 3 birds, but we lost her on point for almost 15 minutes, ( then Tony missed the bird!!!!) but he made up for it with this one.
Lloyd with a bird just shot over Tonys dog “Maxx”. This was actually a find on a pair of birds. We ran 4 dogs this day and all had birds, some both kinds.
While hunting yesterday I just had to shoot this picture on my phone. While making my way through the cover I looked up to see the mountains blanketed in snow. We also had our first frost of the year yesterday morning. Thank God as it will kill the undergrowth to make walking easier plus kill the leaves to make visibility better for grouse hunting.
